-- Complimentary Strategy Session --
Here's How to Know If Your
Executive Materials Will Actually Work
Before you hire anyone—or try to DIY your executive materials—let's talk.
I offer a complimentary 30-minute video strategy session where I'll give you absolute clarity on what it actually takes to land your next executive role.
I Know Your Time Is Valuable - Here's What Happens on the Call
You Share Your Goals
FIRST 5 MINUTES
Tell me about your target role, compensation expectations, and timeline for your next move
I Diagnose the Gaps
NEXT 10 MINUTES
I'll identify exactly what's missing between your current materials and what actually gets you shortlisted at your level
We Map Your Path
LAST 10 MINUTES
You'll leave with either a clear DIY roadmap or we'll discuss how I can help—your choice entirely
Everything we discuss is completely confidential. Many executives take the insights and handle it on their own—and I'm completely fine with that.
"After writing 3,000+ executive resumes over 15 years, I can spot the gaps that cost you interviews in the first 60 seconds. I'd rather give you real value now and earn a long-term relationship than push you into something that isn't the right fit."
Zero pressure. Maximum clarity.
Sessions are strictly limited to maintain quality. Book while spots are available.
Why Choose a Professional Executive Resume Writer?
As an executive resume writer with 12+ years of experience, I've learned that senior leaders often approach their resumes the wrong way—focusing on responsibilities instead of results, using corporate speak instead of compelling narratives, and underselling achievements that should command attention.
Your resume isn't a work history document. It's a strategic marketing piece that needs to position you for board-level scrutiny, executive search committees, and C-suite decision-makers.
That's where working with an experienced executive resume writer makes the difference.
I don't use templates or AI tools. Every resume I write is custom-crafted after a deep-dive consultation where I learn about your leadership philosophy, quantifiable achievements, and career aspirations.
The result? A document that reads like a compelling story—not a job description.

Executive Resume Writer Toronto
Financial Services, Professional Services & Corporate Leadership
Toronto is Canada's financial capital and largest corporate hub, home to the Big Five banks, major insurance companies, the Big Four accounting firms, and hundreds of head offices spanning every sector. The executive market here is sophisticated, competitive, and formal—Bay Street culture demands resumes that demonstrate board-level thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to manage complexity at enterprise scale.
What Toronto employers prioritize in executive resumes:
Quantified business impact is table stakes. Toronto hiring managers expect to see revenue growth figures, cost reductions, P&L size, team headcount, and budget responsibility in the first six seconds of scanning your resume. They're looking for executives who've managed large organizations, navigated regulatory environments, and delivered results in mature, often publicly-traded companies.
Experience with governance, compliance, and stakeholder management carries significant weight. If you've worked with boards of directors, managed investor relations, led M&A transactions, or navigated complex regulatory frameworks (OSFI, securities regulations, industry-specific compliance), this should be prominently featured. Toronto executives are expected to operate with an eye toward risk management and corporate governance.
Industries I frequently serve in Toronto:
- Financial Services: Banking, asset management, wealth management, insurance, fintech, pension funds
- Professional Services: Big Four accounting, management consulting, legal, corporate advisory
- Technology: Enterprise software, fintech, e-commerce, digital transformation, cybersecurity
- Healthcare: Hospital networks, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health insurance, biotech
- Manufacturing & Industrial: Automotive, aerospace, food production, chemicals, industrial equipment
- Retail & Consumer Goods: Head office functions, e-commerce, omnichannel retail, consumer brands
- Real Estate & Construction: Development, property management, REITs, infrastructure
- Energy & Utilities: Power generation, utilities, renewable energy projects
How I position Toronto executives to win:
Toronto resumes emphasize scale, strategic leadership, and financial results. I lead with your scope of responsibility—P&L size, revenue managed, team size, geographic reach—then immediately follow with quantified achievements. The format is clean, ATS-optimized, and professionally conservative.
For financial services executives, I highlight regulatory knowledge, risk management, product P&L growth, and client/AUM metrics. For professional services leaders, I emphasize client relationships, business development success, practice growth, and thought leadership. For corporate executives in other sectors, I focus on transformation initiatives, operational improvements, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership.
I position Toronto executives to compete for roles at firms like RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, Manulife, Sun Life, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, EY, McKinsey, Shopify, Thomson Reuters, and major corporate head offices.
The Toronto executive resume is about projecting confidence, demonstrating strategic business acumen, and proving you can operate at the highest levels of corporate Canada.
Executive Resume Writer Vancouver
Technology, Innovation & Pacific Gateway Leadership
Vancouver's executive landscape reflects its position as Canada's innovation hub and Pacific Gateway. The city's economy is anchored by technology (software, gaming, e-commerce), natural resources (mining, forestry), film and media production, and international trade.
Unlike Toronto's corporate formality or Calgary's project-intensive culture, Vancouver values agility, innovation mindset, and the ability to scale in dynamic, often fast-growth environments.
What Vancouver employers prioritize in executive resumes:
The city's tech sector—home to Amazon, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Salesforce, and hundreds of scale-ups—looks for leaders who can demonstrate transformation, not just management.
Your resume needs to show you've driven innovation, launched products, scaled teams rapidly, or navigated companies through pivot points. Quantified outcomes matter, but the narrative should emphasize strategic vision, cross-functional leadership, and comfort with ambiguity.
For natural resources executives, Vancouver companies like Teck Resources, Canfor, and West Fraser seek leaders who understand commodity cycles, sustainability initiatives, and increasingly, the transition to cleaner operations. Your resume should balance operational rigor with forward-thinking strategy—showing you can manage legacy assets while positioning the organization for a changing world.
International business experience carries significant weight in Vancouver. The city's proximity to Asia-Pacific markets means executives with cross-border deal-making, supply chain management spanning multiple continents, or experience building partnerships in Asian markets have a distinct advantage. If you've managed operations in China, Japan, or other Pacific Rim countries, this should be prominently positioned.
Industries I frequently serve in Vancouver:
- Technology & Digital: Software development, gaming, e-commerce platforms, SaaS, fintech, digital marketing agencies
- Natural Resources: Mining, forestry, clean energy, environmental services, commodities trading
- Film & Media: Production companies, post-production, visual effects, streaming content
- Professional Services: Consulting, accounting, legal, marketing agencies serving tech and resource sectors
- Trade & Logistics: Port operations, international shipping, supply chain, import/export
- Life Sciences & Biotech: Growing sector with strength in biopharmaceuticals and medical devices
- Real Estate & Development: Particularly leaders with experience in mixed-use, sustainability-focused, or international investment projects
How I position Vancouver executives to win:
When crafting resumes for Vancouver leaders, I focus on outcomes over process. Rather than detailing org charts and reporting structures, I emphasize what you built, launched, or transformed. For tech executives, that means highlighting user growth, revenue scaling, successful product launches, or tech stack modernization. For resource sector leaders, I quantify operational improvements, cost reductions, safety records, and increasingly, ESG initiatives and regulatory success.
Vancouver's business culture skews less hierarchical than Toronto or Calgary, so I adjust the tone accordingly—confident but collaborative, results-focused but team-oriented. The resume should read as someone who can operate in both enterprise environments (Amazon, Microsoft) and scrappy scale-ups where executives wear multiple hats.
I position Vancouver executives to compete for roles at companies like Amazon (Vancouver offices), Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Salesforce, SAP, Hootsuite, Lululemon, Arc'teryx, Aritzia, Teck Resources, Canfor, West Fraser, and the city's 200+ tech scale-ups.
The Vancouver resume is about demonstrating you can thrive in environments where change is constant, innovation is expected, and business moves at the pace of technology—not bureaucracy.
Executive Resume Writer Calgary
Energy Transition, Engineering & Resource Leadership
Calgary's executive market is in transition. While energy remains the economic anchor—oil and gas, oilfield services, pipelines, and increasingly renewables—the city is diversifying into technology, financial services, agriculture technology, and transportation logistics. Today's Calgary executives need resumes that demonstrate both operational excellence in traditional industries and adaptability for a changing economy.
What Calgary employers prioritize in executive resumes:
Major project leadership and capital allocation experience are critical. Calgary employers expect executives to have managed large-scale projects ($100M+), overseen capital budgets, and delivered operational improvements in capital-intensive environments. Your resume should quantify project scope, timelines, budget responsibility, and safety records.
Cost management and operational efficiency matter intensely in Calgary. Whether it's commodity price volatility, regulatory changes, or market cycles, Calgary executives are expected to optimize operations and deliver results in challenging conditions. Resumes should highlight cost reductions, productivity improvements, asset optimization, and the ability to manage through downturns.
Increasingly, transformation and diversification experience stands out. If you've led an oil and gas company's renewable energy initiatives, repositioned a traditional energy services firm for new markets, or brought digital transformation to legacy operations, Calgary employers take notice.
Industries I frequently serve in Calgary:
- Energy - Upstream: Oil and gas exploration, production, reservoir engineering
- Energy - Midstream: Pipelines, storage, transportation, processing
- Energy - Oilfield Services: Drilling, completion, well servicing, equipment manufacturing
- Renewables & Clean Energy: Solar, wind, geothermal, carbon capture, hydrogen
- Engineering & Construction: EPC firms, project management, civil engineering, industrial construction
- Transportation & Logistics: Rail, trucking, warehousing, supply chain
- Agriculture & Agtech: Grain handling, livestock, precision agriculture, food production
- Financial Services: Energy-focused banking, private equity, corporate finance
- Technology: Energy tech, agriculture tech, logistics software
How I position Calgary executives to win:
Calgary resumes lead with scope: project size, capital budgets, team headcount, geographic reach, and production volumes or throughput. I emphasize operational metrics—cost per barrel, safety records, on-time/on-budget project delivery, asset utilization, and regulatory compliance.
For energy executives, I balance traditional oil and gas achievements with any exposure to energy transition, ESG initiatives, or emerging technologies. For engineering leaders, I highlight project complexity, multi-stakeholder coordination, and technical problem-solving.
I position Calgary executives to compete for roles at companies like Suncor, Canadian Natural Resources, Cenovus, Imperial Oil, Enbridge, TC Energy, Pembina Pipeline, and major engineering firms.
The Calgary executive resume demonstrates you can deliver results in capital-intensive, project-driven, and often cyclical industries while positioning organizations for the energy transition.
Executive Resume Writer Ottawa
Government, Technology & National Leadership
Ottawa's executive landscape is shaped by its dual identity: Canada's capital and the nation's fourth-largest tech hub. The city runs on federal government operations, cybersecurity, aerospace and defense, telecommunications, and professional services—creating a unique environment where innovation meets governance, and strategic thinking matters as much as execution speed.
What Ottawa employers prioritize in executive resumes:
Technology sector leaders at Shopify, Nokia, BlackBerry, CGI, and the Kanata North tech cluster need to prove they can scale fast and navigate compliance. Your resume should show you've built enterprise solutions for government clients, managed complex procurements, or led technical teams through regulatory gauntlets. Success here means balancing startup agility with institutional rigor—and knowing when each applies.
Government and Crown corporation executives need resumes that showcase transformation within bureaucratic realities. Departments like the CRA, PSPC, and NRC want leaders who can modernize legacy systems, build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups, and deliver large-scale projects under intense oversight. If you've implemented policy at scale, led digital transformation in public sector environments, or managed interdepartmental initiatives, lead with those wins. Bilingual capability dramatically expands opportunities—feature it prominently if you have it.
Defense and aerospace experience is gold in Ottawa. Organizations like the Department of National Defence, CSE, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin Canada, and MDA seek executives who understand security protocols, defense procurement, and program management under strict compliance. Security clearance should be clearly indicated—it's a significant competitive advantage.
Professional services in Ottawa serve government clients, which means different rules. Your resume needs to demonstrate fluency in RFPs, standing offers, and delivering complex projects within public sector frameworks.
Industries I frequently serve in Ottawa:
- Technology & Cybersecurity: Enterprise software, telecommunications, government tech solutions
- Federal Government: Departments, Crown corporations, public sector transformation
- Defense & Aerospace: Defense contractors, military technology, satellite systems
- Professional Services: Government consulting, legal, procurement advisory
- Telecommunications: Network infrastructure, 5G, carrier operations
- Healthcare & Life Sciences: Health IT, medical devices, research institutions
- Clean Technology: Environmental services, sustainable infrastructure
How I position Ottawa executives to win:
Ottawa resumes need to show both what you accomplished and how you navigated complex environments to get there. Unlike Vancouver's pure outcome focus, Ottawa employers want to see you understand stakeholder management, governance frameworks, and building consensus in matrixed organizations.
For tech executives, I highlight successful government procurement wins, security compliance, and scaling within regulatory constraints—not despite them, but because you understand them. For government leaders, I frame bureaucratic complexity as strategic stakeholder management, positioning you as someone who drives modernization while respecting institutional realities.
The tone matters. Ottawa values substance over flash. Your resume should read confident but measured, innovative but process-aware—someone equally comfortable reporting to a CEO, a Deputy Minister, or a Board with government appointees.
I position Ottawa executives for roles at Shopify, Nokia, CGI, IBM Canada, Amazon, Microsoft, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin Canada, federal departments and Crown corporations, and the city's 1,800+ technology companies.
The Ottawa resume proves you can drive transformation within governance frameworks—showing you're comfortable with both disruption and discipline, technology and policy, innovation and institutional knowledge.

Because I don’t write resumes — I build executive positioning documents. Each one tells a story of leadership, results, and strategic impact. I’ve helped hundreds of senior leaders across Canada and the U.S. land roles they once thought were out of reach.
I start with a deep-dive strategy session. We’ll unpack your career arc, define your leadership value, and align every line of your resume with the role you want next. You’ll review and refine with me directly — no outsourcing, no templates.
You’ll work one-on-one with me, not a junior writer or anonymous team. I take the time to understand your world — your metrics, scope, and voice — so the final product reads as authentically you, just sharper and more strategic.
That’s right. Most of my executive resumes run 2–3 pages because your leadership story can’t fit in a single sheet. What matters is clarity, not length. Every section earns its place.
Yes. Most executives I work with choose a Plus branding package — resume, LinkedIn, dossier and board bio — to create a unified message for recruiters, investors, and networks.
I’ve worked with 3,000+ executives on their resumes – more than enough for me to have seen pretty much everything there is to see. It’s very rare these days I come across a client whose industry I’m not familiar with, and I have a unique ability to understand highly technical fields.
Many people believe the dreaded ATS is “blocking” or “filtering out” all of their applications, not realizing it’s much more likely the resume itself is just not enticing hiring managers. The truth about ATS software – which is used and configured by some HR teams to save time by stopping irrelevant applications from reaching the recruiters’ inbox – is that we really don’t know the truth. Some companies use ATS, some don’t, and there’s no way to be sure which keywords a company has selected.
The best way to ensure your resume is not filtered out by ATS is to keep the formatting simple and match keywords with the qualifications or skills section in your ideal job postings. Don’t obsess over hitting every keyword, because that approach invariably causes the readability of the resume to suffer.
Wait times for booking our initial 60-minute meeting vary from the next day after signing up to 3 weeks in advance.
Some times of year are busier than others in the world of professional resume writing. Once we’ve had our consultation call, I will have the first drafts to you within 2-3 business days.
On exceedingly rare occasions an executive will find that they’re still not getting interviews with their new resume. There are many reasons this could happen that don’t have to do with the resume.
That’s why instead of “giving up” and refunding your fee, I pledge to work with you on refining job search strategies and/or tweaking the resume until it sticks. Sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error.
LinkedIn is the place to be to grow your network and establish an online presence as an executive and industry influencer. The platform is a hub to create business opportunities, build your brand, make yourself searchable from Google, and find the best and freshest job ads. It’s where your peers hang out and where recruiters are most likely to lay eyes on you first.
If your LinkedIn profile fails to provide a compelling overview of your value proposition and career story, you’re going to have a hard time.
Turnaround time for all resume packages is 3 business days from the time of consultation. This is faster than the average turnaround time for the industry. However, if you have a pressing job application deadline, please book a phone chat and ask us about our Rush service.
No one knows your career better than you. The consultation process is thorough, but ultimately, resume writing is a collaborative process. Minor revisions are usually required, and these changes are included in all our resume writing packages.
We'll support you for up to 30 days from the delivery of the package. We want to be sure you’re completely satisfied and confident with how your resume markets you.

I worked with Adam on building my resume. I was incredibly impressed with how quickly he delivered my new resume, but I was even more impressed with the quality of work. If you are looking to get a professional resume to stand out amongst the other applicants, then look no further."
