Mississauga Overview & Key Industries in the Region

Mississauga is Canada's sixth-largest city, located in the Peel Regional Municipality of Ontario. 

With a population of 713, 443 it is the largest suburban municipality in North America, and the second largest city in the Greater Toronto Area. 

The city has worked hard to remain fiscally responsible, and has invested in new businesses, international investment, and entrepreneurs, generating thousands of jobs in the past 4 years. With its lower tax rates, and close proximity to Toronto and Pearson Airport, it has attracted people from all over Canada, and the world.

Mississauga is home to more than 61,000 companies from diverse industries and includes 60 of Canada's Fortune 500. The largest industries are the manufacturing/warehouse sectors followed by retail and wholesale sectors.
