I have had the pleasure of working with Careers by Design on many occasions. The coaching meetings are inspiring, helpful and effective! I felt comfortable with my coach. She guided me to go beyond my initial ideas and to figure out what I really want in my career. Their approach involves listening to what people need and guiding them in creating the careers they want. They get to the heart of the matter and provide top-notch, reliable coaching!
I believe they are the best in the business. You can see a coach in person or attend Skype coaching from anywhere in the world. To save travel time, I did coaching by Skype which worked really well for me. It’s perfect if you're like me and have lots of things going on in the day. Looking back, I really felt it was a great experience. I walked away with a lot more clarity and a solid skill set for success that was just right for me. All in all, getting coached at Careers by Design made a great difference in my life!
I went for coaching when I was thinking about going back to school. Doing an MBA is a big investment and I wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision. My coach helped me to feel confident about my decision and write a strong application. She helped me to describe my technical experience in easy to understand language. I got into the program of my choice at the top business school in Canada and also received a scholarship.
After graduating, I went back for coaching and did the job search program. I wanted a job where I could use my skills and get paid well. It saved me a lot of time and effort- I didn’t have to figure it all out myself. Coaching is an investment that I decided to make in my career. I've been very satisfied with this service and felt that they really cared about my success.
I'm a freelance writer for Workopolis. Careers By Design has kindly and promptly contributed excellent career and networking advice for pieces I have written over the years. She's the first person I think of when I need expert career advice. Thanks Shirin and team!
I recently completed a Master's to complement my skills and work experience. Before I started the coaching sessions, I was having difficulty integrating my old skills with my new skills. This made it difficult to prepare a cohesive statement on what I had to offer, and as such what I should include on a CV. My coach, Lee, helped me put together a narrative that explains who I am as a person and a professional, and why people should be confident in what I have to offer. Being able to attend my coaching sessions by Skype was an extra bonus.
I worked with Lee over the course of several months when going through a career change. I enjoyed her insight and found the Skills & Values assessment to be very insightful. I learned about aspects of a career that was of high value to me and Lee and I worked together to 'match up' these values and my skill set to my next career. I would highly recommend anyone looking for some guidance in their careers to call Lee!
